In an August 10 Op-ed to the USA Today, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, along with Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD), spoke out against those participating in health care town hall meetings:

"These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American."
